the other night i told someone YHF was my favorite album. i don’t know if that’s the truth, but it’s close to it. i’ve always heard it as ‘no way,’ myself.
I don’t know if I can call YHF my favorite in a world where OK Computer and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain and London Calling exist, but it’s really high up there and I don’t know if I’ve ever realized that. What I have learned is that this album is best when played at a low volume over a stereo system. It doesn’t feel like a headphone album to me, it’s not something that blasts your brain between your ears. It fills space gradually and without you noticing.

absolutely not. which song, though?
“The Boys Are Leaving Town,” which is nice for the quiet start and then balls out chorus.
