Pavement show one of four for the week and the first ever for me. “Frontwards” and “In the Mouth A Desert” were sublime. “Summer Babe” was stupendous. I started giggling when “Shady Lane” was introduced.
I just wish Bob Nastanovich would stop with his Abe Simpson-style stories between sets. I kept waiting for him to start talking about the onion on his belt and the time that nickels used to have a bee on them.
All in all, fucking fantastic. Can’t wait for Tuesday night.
